Protect against Swine Flu and other flu strains this winter with PHS Washrooms
24 December 2010
The Health and Safety Executive reported in the Irish Independent (10th January 2010), that schools have been given advice on how their hand hygiene routines and the cleanliness of their washroom services can help reduce the spread of swine flu.
Children have been encouraged to wash their hands thoroughly, using soap and water, particularly after coughing and sneezing, and that hand dryers should be used for drying hands, rather than sharing towels. Additionally, ensuring that hygiene levels in the washroom areas are kept (at up) to a high standard is vital in reducing the spread of the flu virus amongst children.
